UKCP, BACP & BPA-Registered Psychotherapist. Psychodramatist. Specialist in Child and Family Mental Health.

At the heart of my work is a vision for a future where children’s mental health is not only supported in crisis, but deeply valued as part of everyday life, in homes, in schools and in society. By working together with families and professionals, I hope to contribute to a world where emotional wellbeing is understood as a foundation, not a luxury.

I’m a UKCP, BACP and BPA-registered Psychotherapist and Psychodramatist, specialising in therapeutic work with children, young people and families. With a strong foundation in relational, creative and evidence-based approaches, I support children experiencing anxiety, trauma, low mood, and a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges. I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

I have over 25 years experience working with young people. As a qualified teacher, my background in education gives me a deep, practical understanding of the pressures children face both in and out of the classroom, and enables me to work collaboratively and effectively with schools and families. And my degree in the performing arts and dance informs the creative approaches I take to support children’s emotional and psychological development.

My approach:

I bring warmth, experience, and a grounded, child-focused approach to all aspects of my work. In private practice, schools or online, my priority is to create a safe and compassionate space where young people feel understood, valued and supported in their growth.

My practice is:

  • Gentle and evidence-based
  • Flexible and responsive to the unique needs of each child and family
  • Centred on building safety, trust and collaboration

I use an integrative model tailored to each child’s needs, which may include:

  1. Play therapy – especially beneficial for younger children
  2. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – supporting children with anxiety or low mood
  3. Attachment-based approaches
  4. Systemic therapy – involving not just the child but the whole world around them, which includes school and family
  5. Sessions that are collaborative, safe, and always paced according to the child or young person
